A private gas company in Musakhel, Balochistan, was attacked during the night by an armed group. The attackers torched company machinery, including seven bulldozers, and abducted over 20 workers.
The incident unfolded in the Sarragh area of Musakhel, where a private contractor’s equipment, working for the gas company, was targeted. After burning the machinery, the attackers released the abducted workers. Levies forces, along with other security personnel, are now investigating the attack.
A statement from the Levies Force confirmed the incident, highlighting the extensive damage to the contractor’s heavy machinery. Authorities have since established a security cordon around the area, keeping a close watch for any suspicious activities. This attack came just a day after another tragic event in the Godabdin area of Panjgur, where militants killed seven laborers and injured one more in a shooting. District officials revealed that the victims, hailing from Multan in Punjab, were working on a construction site when they were targeted by militants allegedly affiliated with the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA).
