A police operation in Lahore’s Green Town area resulted in the deaths of four suspected robbers after a dramatic gunfight with officers. The confrontation occurred when police raided a location to arrest the suspects, who opened fire on the authorities.
In the ensuing exchange of gunfire, all four suspects were killed. Two police officers, including the Station House Officer (SHO) and a constable, were injured by the robbers’ gunfire and were later hospitalized.
Authorities confirmed that the deceased suspects were believed to be involved in multiple bank robberies and other criminal activities in various areas, including the Industrial Estate, just days before the shootout. Police have identified three of the suspects as Rizwan, Zain, and Ali. Their bodies have been sent for post-mortem, and efforts are underway to apprehend any remaining accomplices.
