ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has been rearrested in connection with a case filed at Islamabad’s New Town police station.
The case, registered under sections of the Anti-Terrorism Act, involves charges of arson, rioting, assault, and resisting police. An investigation team, led by the SSP Investigation, is handling the matter.
Khan will appear in court on Thursday, where authorities are expected to seek his physical remand, according to a Rawalpindi police spokesperson.
Earlier, the Islamabad High Court granted Khan bail in the Toshakhana case, sparking speculation about his release.
However, his release remains unlikely as he still faces multiple May 9-related cases.
