Prime Minister’s legal advisor, Barrister Aqeel Malik, has firmly stated that the release of PTI founder Imran Khan is not on the table in the ongoing negotiations. He emphasized that there would be no leniency or deal disguised as dialogue.
Barrister Aqeel further clarified that any demands for relief related to the events of May 9 would not be entertained. He also noted that the committee would first establish the terms of reference (TOR) and set the agenda before proceeding with any further discussions.
The legal advisor added that negotiations cannot move forward while calls for civil disobedience are being made, stressing the importance of a cooperative and constructive approach for the talks to continue.
