The invitation came after a meeting between the UAE cricket chief and Naqvi in Ghotki. The discussions centered on strengthening the bilateral ties between the two nations and advancing cricket in both countries.
Sheikh Nahyan conveyed his best wishes for Pakistan’s successful hosting of the tournament, emphasizing the UAE’s strong and valued relationship with Pakistan. He expressed his support for the event and extended his best wishes for its success.
In response, Naqvi offered full support to the UAE in further promoting cricket. He acknowledged the UAE leadership’s longstanding backing of Pakistan and assured that both countries would work together to foster cricket’s growth.
Naqvi also mentioned the considerable excitement within Pakistan about the upcoming Champions Trophy, noting that the PCB is committed to making it a distinctive and memorable event.
