India’s two-time Olympic medalist Neeraj Chopra has married his partner, Himani Mor, in an intimate ceremony surrounded by close family and friends.
The star javelin thrower shared the joyous news on social media with a heartfelt message. “Starting a new chapter of life with my family. Grateful for every blessing that brought us to this moment together. Bound by love, happily ever after,” he captioned a photo of the couple.
According to Neeraj’s uncle, the wedding took place two days ago, and a reception is planned to celebrate the union soon.
Himani Mor, a native of Larsauli, Haryana, attended Little Angels School in Sonipat. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Science in Sports Management and Administration at the McCormack Isenberg School of Management in Amherst, Massachusetts.
Neeraj’s wedding follows another high-profile union in Indian sports, as Olympic medallist PV Sindhu tied the knot in December.
As India’s first Olympic medallist in athletics and the second individual to win a gold at the Summer Games, Neeraj made history with his victory in the men’s javelin at Tokyo 2020. He later added to his legacy with a silver medal at Paris 2024.
On the professional front, Neeraj is also set to bring a Continental Tour Javelin-Only competition to India, further solidifying his role in advancing athletics in the country, reported NDTV.
