The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has confirmed that the moon of Shaban has been sighted in Pakistan, marking Wednesday, January 31, as the first day of Shaban.
The announcement was made by Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad following a meeting held in Islamabad. As per the moon sighting, the sacred night of Shab-e-Barat will fall on the night of February 13.
The meeting was attended by religious scholars and officials, with the special participation of the Turkish Consul General. During the session, special prayers were offered for the well-being of Muslims in Gaza.
Shaban is a significant month in the Islamic calendar, leading up to the holy month of Ramazan. It holds particular importance due to the observance of Shab-e-Barat, a night dedicated to prayers, forgiveness, and seeking mercy.
