Former federal minister Mushahid Hussain Syed stated on Sunday that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is now facing increasing isolation in the region following the revolution in Bangladesh.
Speaking at the National Kashmir Conference in Islamabad, Syed explained that the Indian-backed government in Bangladesh had been ousted as a result of the recent uprising.
On the topic of Palestine, Syed praised the sacrifices of the Palestinian people, noting that discussions around the establishment of an independent Palestinian state are gaining momentum. He also drew parallels between the struggles of Kashmir and Palestine, stressing the need for a unified effort to strengthen the advocacy for the Kashmiri cause.
Syed emphasized, “The critical question now is how we move forward with the Kashmir issue,” urging all stakeholders to intensify their efforts to promote the cause on international platforms.
Regarding Bangladesh, Syed declared that a revolution had already taken place, leading to the removal of a pro-India administration. He concluded by asserting that Modi’s position in the region has become increasingly isolated as a result of these developments.
