The South African cricket team has arrived in Lahore to participate in both the Champions Trophy and the Tri-Nation Series. Traveling from Johannesburg via Dubai, the team landed in Lahore under heightened security and was promptly escorted to a private hotel.
The players are scheduled to rest today before beginning their training session tomorrow afternoon in preparation for their upcoming matches.
South Africa’s first match in the Tri-Nation Series will take place against New Zealand on February 10.
The New Zealand team had also arrived earlier in Lahore for the tournament. The squad, which traveled on a private airline from Dubai to Allama Iqbal International Airport, includes prominent players such as Kane Williamson, Daryl Mitchell, Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Devon Conway, Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, Tom Latham, and Glenn Phillips.
Both teams are set to compete in the highly anticipated cricket event in Pakistan.
