ISLAMABAD: The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) will announce the Central Superior Services (CSS) 2024 results in the last week of April, FPSC Chairman Lt Gen (retd) Akhtar Nawaz Satti informed the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani presided over the hearing of a petition seeking a stay order on the upcoming CSS 2025 exams, which are scheduled to begin on February 15 (Saturday).
Petition Against CSS 2025 Exam Schedule
Petitioner Hamza Javed, represented by Advocate Ali Raza, argued that the FPSC’s decision to conduct CSS 2025 exams before announcing the CSS 2024 results was unfair to candidates awaiting their results. This had raised concerns among hundreds of aspirants about their future prospects.
However, FPSC Chairman Satti defended the decision, stating that candidates would still have opportunities even after the 2025 exams. He also pointed out that one of the petitioners had already exhausted all attempts and was not directly affected by the scheduling.
CSS 2025 Exam Preparations Underway
The Additional Attorney General (AAG) Dougal informed the court that:
- 88 examination halls have been booked nationwide for the CSS 2025 exams.
- All exam materials have already been dispatched.
- The FPSC is legally permitted to conduct new exams even before announcing previous results.
- Delays in exams could compromise the secrecy and integrity of the process.
Court Reserves Verdict on Exam Stay Request
Following the arguments, the IHC reserved its decision on the petition to halt the CSS 2025 exams until the CSS 2024 results are announced.
