The Afghanistan cricket team landed in Karachi on Saturday ahead of their warm-up match against New Zealand, set to take place before the Champions Trophy, which begins on February 19.
As per reports, Afghanistan will face New Zealand in the practice match tomorrow after completing their fixture against the Pakistan Shaheens at the newly renovated Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Making their debut in the Champions Trophy, Afghanistan will officially begin their campaign against South Africa at Karachi’s National Stadium on February 21.
The team enters the tournament on a strong note, having recently secured a 2-1 ODI series victory over South Africa in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
