Quetta was struck by two violent incidents on Thursday, with an explosion in the Kechi Baig Sikandarabad area claiming one life, and a separate gun attack on a police checkpoint in the suburban area of Shaban resulting in the martyrdom of a police officer and injuries to another.
Reports indicate that the blast in Kechi Baig Sikandarabad caused the death of one person. Authorities, including security forces, police, and a bomb disposal squad, quickly arrived at the scene, securing the area for investigation.
Simultaneously, in Shaban, armed assailants opened fire on a police checkpoint, leading to the death of one officer and injuring another.
