Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has declared that Türkiye will not allow external forces to reshape the region, warning against what he called “Zionist interventions.”
“As the grandchildren of Sultan Alparslan and Saladin Ayyubi, we will stand together, hand in hand, and with Allah’s permission, we will not allow any new interventions in our region,” Erdogan said in a statement on X on Thursday.
He emphasized the need for Türkiye to act with caution amid what he described as a “historic restructuring” of the region and the world.
A Call to Defend Regional Stability
Erdogan warned of a “genocide network” that aims to divide the region, stressing the importance of shaping policies to counter these threats.
“If we allow history to repeat itself, as it did a century ago, neither our ancestors nor future generations will forgive us,” he stated.
Reaffirming Türkiye’s commitment to stability, Erdogan said Ankara’s goal is to establish lasting peace and trust.
“Our aim is to make the Century of Türkiye a century of peace, brotherhood, and solidarity in our region,” he concluded.
