Tribal leader Abdul Hafeez Mengal was fatally shot by unidentified gunmen in Balochistan’s Khuzdar on Saturday, according to rescue officials.
Mengal sustained critical injuries in the attack and was rushed to the Combined Military Hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds. The assailants managed to escape after the shooting, and authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
In a separate development, unidentified armed men attacked the Levies Police Station in the Ornach area of Khuzdar. According to sources, the attackers seized all weapons stored at the facility before setting several parked vehicles on fire.
Law enforcement agencies have heightened security measures in the region, and efforts are underway to track down those responsible for both incidents.
