Government working on a comprehensive relief package for the public
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has confirmed that petroleum prices will remain unchanged and assured the public of a significant reduction in electricity tariffs in the near future.
In a statement on Saturday, the Prime Minister revealed that the government is preparing a thorough relief package aimed at providing substantial support to the public, which will be unveiled in the coming weeks.
He stated that the final details for the reduction in electricity tariffs are being finalized, ensuring that the public directly benefits. Despite fluctuations in global oil prices, he emphasized that efforts are being made to offer maximum relief to the people.
He reiterated that prioritizing public relief has been a key focus since he took office and that the reduction in electricity prices is a direct outcome of this commitment.
The Prime Minister also pointed out that the decrease in electricity tariffs will help reduce inflation, further easing the burden on the public.
He expressed his determination to personally announce the relief package soon, aimed at alleviating the economic difficulties faced by citizens.
