Bollywood actress Malaika Arora is facing legal trouble after a Mumbai court reissued a warrant against her in connection with the infamous 2012 brawl involving actor Saif Ali Khan.
The case centers around a violent altercation that took place at a high-end Mumbai hotel, where Saif allegedly assaulted businessman Iqbal Mir Sharma during a dinner party. The confrontation, which also involved Sharma’s father-in-law Raman Patel, left Sharma with a fractured nose.
Background of the Incident
The brawl occurred at a dinner gathering attended by several Bollywood celebrities, including Kareena Kapoor, Karishma Kapoor, Amrita Arora, and Malaika Arora. According to reports, an argument between Saif and Sharma spiraled into a physical fight. Sharma alleged that Saif not only hit him but also attacked his father-in-law. Malaika, who was present during the incident, was later summoned by the court as a key eyewitness.
Court Reissues Warrant
Despite multiple summons, Malaika Arora has failed to appear in court to testify. The Chief Judicial Magistrate K.S. Zanwar had previously issued a bailable warrant in February 2025 after she skipped earlier hearings. With her continued absence, the court has now reissued the warrant, seeking her presence to provide crucial insight into the long-pending case.
