KARACHI — The Karachi Port Trust (KPT) reported on Monday that 19 commercial vessels were processed at Karachi Port over the past 24 hours, marking another day of active maritime operations.
In its official statement, KPT said a total of 1.6 million tonnes of cargo was managed during the period, covering both imports and exports. The operations included the berthing of three new ships, while one vessel departed after successfully completing its cargo handling.
Port officials highlighted that the efficient coordination between terminal operators and port authorities ensured the smooth handling of various consignments ranging from bulk cargo to containers.
The KPT continues to serve as a vital gateway for Pakistan’s international trade, handling a significant portion of the country’s maritime commerce.
