In a joint press briefing alongside Pakistan Army spokesperson Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif, Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb announced that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) secured a comprehensive 6-0 victory over the Indian Air Force during the recent confrontation.
Thanking Allah for the successful outcome, Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb commended the PAF’s performance in effectively countering Indian hostilities. He stated, “The PAF remained fully prepared during both peace and conflict, and acted upon directives from the Air Chief to exercise our right to self-defense by targeting aggressors.”
He elaborated on Pakistan’s air defense response, noting that all incoming Indian drones and missiles were detected and tracked. The PAF neutralized these threats by jamming drone signals, disrupting their communication systems, and employing a mix of soft and hard kill tactics. The hard kill method was applied selectively, especially in civilian areas, to avoid collateral damage.
According to Aurangzeb, the PAF utilized its full operational capacity to destroy all hostile drones. He confirmed that BrahMos missiles launched by India were intercepted and destroyed before they could reach their targets. “These missile attacks posed a serious threat to Pakistan’s sovereignty,” he emphasized.
He further revealed a major error on India’s part, reporting that missiles launched from Amritsar inadvertently landed in Indian civilian zones. In contrast, Pakistan’s hypersonic missiles, drones, and other precision-guided systems accurately hit their intended targets.
Concluding the media briefing, Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb stated that the PAF downed six Indian aircraft while suffering no losses of its own, with all Pakistani jets remaining intact and operational throughout the engagement.
