Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have reaffirmed their commitment to enhanced coordination and joint efforts aimed at promoting regional peace, stability, and prosperity.
The understanding was reached during a meeting between Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and UAE President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, held in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.
The discussions highlighted the longstanding, fraternal relationship between the two nations, which is rooted in mutual trust, shared values, and decades of close cooperation.
During the meeting, both leaders exchanged views on a range of bilateral, regional, and international matters of mutual concern and agreed to deepen collaboration in key sectors.
Prime Minister Shehbaz expressed gratitude to the UAE leadership for its constructive role in easing tensions between Pakistan and India. He also praised the UAE’s continued support for peace and dialogue across the region.
Both sides noted the positive momentum in their bilateral relations and ongoing high-level engagements. Prime Minister Shehbaz reiterated his earlier invitation to the UAE President to visit Pakistan.
The Pakistani delegation included Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Syed Tariq Fatemi.
