Calls for restraint, urges international push for political solution
RIYADH – Saudi Arabia: has expressed deep concern over the escalating situation in the region following U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, calling for calm and a diplomatic resolution to the growing crisis.
In an official statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Kingdom reaffirmed its June 13 condemnation of actions that violate Iranian sovereignty, stressing the urgent need to de-escalate tensions and prevent the situation from spiraling into a broader conflict.
“The Kingdom underscores the importance of exercising restraint and avoiding further escalation,” the statement read, adding that political dialogue remains the only viable path to resolving the crisis.
Saudi Arabia urged the international community to intensify efforts toward a comprehensive political solution that could bring lasting security and stability to the Middle East.
The remarks come in response to reported U.S. airstrikes on Iran’s Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear sites, which have sparked alarm across the region and drawn global attention.
