The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a reduction in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices by Rs7.43 per kilogram. According to a notification issued on Monday, the new LPG price stands at Rs240.53 per kilogram, down from the previous rate.
Additionally, the cost of a domestic LPG cylinder has been lowered by Rs87.71, bringing the new price to Rs2,750.60 compared to the earlier Rs2,838.31. These revised prices will be effective from Tuesday, July 1, 2025.
While LPG users receive some relief, the prices of petroleum products in Pakistan are expected to increase despite a downward trend in global oil markets. Sources indicate that the price of high-speed diesel might rise by Rs14.86 per litre, and petrol could see an increase of Rs11.43 per litre for the next two weeks, starting July 1.
OGRA is set to submit its summary of revised petroleum prices today. The Petroleum Division and the Ministry of Finance will review the recommendations before sending them to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for final approval.
Meanwhile, international oil prices declined on Monday due to easing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and expectations of a potential OPEC+ output hike in August, although uncertainty over global demand continues to weigh on the market.
