The postmortem report of Pakistani actor and model Humaira Asghar has been released, following her sudden and tragic death that has deeply shocked the entertainment industry.
The 32-year-old was found dead on July 8, 2025, in her rented apartment located in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Phase VI. Known for her appearance on the reality show Tamasha Ghar and a supporting role in the 2015 film Jalaibee, Humaira was discovered in a severely decomposed state, raising serious questions about the circumstances surrounding her death.
Authorities released a preliminary autopsy report a day after her body was recovered.
According to Police Surgeon Dr. Summaiya Syed, the body was already in an advanced state of decomposition, making it impossible to determine an immediate cause of death.
“An initial examination has been carried out, but due to the body’s condition, we cannot confirm the cause of death at this stage,” she explained.
Tissue samples have been collected and preserved for DNA testing and toxicological analysis. Dr. Syed noted that the actual cause of death will be determined once the results of these examinations are available.
She emphasized that it is currently premature to speculate about the involvement of drugs or foul play. The findings from the chemical tests will help clarify the situation in the coming days.
