Aid Cheques to Be Distributed in Pindi Bhattian and Hafizabad
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced a financial aid package of Rs1 million for each family affected by the recent floods in Pindi Bhattian and Hafizabad. The announcement was conveyed by Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb during her visit to the flood-hit areas on Saturday.
Speaking to the media and local residents, Marriyum Aurangzeb confirmed that cheques would be distributed among the affected families on behalf of CM Maryam Nawaz. “This is a gesture of solidarity from the Punjab Chief Minister, who stands with the people in their time of need,” she stated.
Flood Victims Thank Punjab Government for Swift Response
Following the announcement, the affected families expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Punjab government, praising CM Maryam Nawaz for her swift response and support. Emotional scenes unfolded as residents chanted slogans in favour of the chief minister, acknowledging her efforts to provide immediate relief.
The relief initiative comes in the wake of devastating floods that displaced hundreds of families and caused significant damage to homes and livelihoods. The Punjab government has pledged ongoing support, including infrastructure rehabilitation, medical assistance, and long-term recovery efforts in the flood-hit areas.
