Pakistan and Türkiye have reiterated their joint call for an immediate end to Israeli military operations in Gaza, expressing grave concern over the escalating humanitarian crisis. In a recent phone conversation, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan discussed the dire situation in Gaza, along with broader regional and bilateral issues.
The call, held to review ongoing developments, also reaffirmed the strong diplomatic ties between Islamabad and Ankara. According to a statement from Pakistan’s Foreign Office, both leaders condemned what Dar described as Israel’s continued aggression and efforts toward “complete military occupation” of Gaza—actions he called a “clear violation” of United Nations Security Council resolutions and international law.
Joint Call for Urgent Humanitarian Action
During the conversation, the two foreign ministers stressed the critical need for immediate, uninterrupted humanitarian access to Gaza’s besieged civilian population. Foreign Minister Dar denounced what he termed as “exceptionalism” in Israel’s conduct, particularly the ongoing blockade and indiscriminate military actions that have intensified the suffering of over two million Palestinians trapped in the enclave.
Dar and Fidan emphasized the necessity for the global community to step up and fulfill its responsibilities under international law. They called on world powers and humanitarian agencies to take decisive and swift action to prevent further loss of life and to ensure access to essential supplies including food, water, and medical aid.
Both nations pledged to continue close coordination on international platforms to maintain pressure on Israel and to advocate for immediate measures aimed at halting the violence and delivering aid to those in need. The call reflects a shared stance between Pakistan and Türkiye on the urgent need for peace and the protection of human rights in the region.
