Pakistan women’s cricket stars Fatima Sana and Muneeba Ali have made significant gains in the latest ICC Women’s T20I Player Rankings, showcasing their individual brilliance despite Pakistan’s series loss to Ireland.
Fatima Sana’s all-round rise
Pakistan’s captain, Fatima Sana, jumped four places to secure the 59th position in the ICC batting rankings. She also advanced one slot to joint-39th in the bowling charts, thanks to her exceptional performance of four wickets for just 26 runs in the series opener.
Ending the series as the leading wicket-taker with six scalps, Fatima’s consistency with both bat and ball continues to boost her international profile. Her leadership and resilience have been key in Pakistan’s recent campaigns.
Muneeba Ali’s batting brilliance
Left-handed opener Muneeba Ali made headlines with her unbeaten century in the final match of the series. This outstanding knock propelled her three places up to joint-32nd in the ICC batters’ rankings, achieving a personal best of 526 rating points. Her match-winning innings was one of the series highlights, proving her ability to deliver under pressure.
Irish players make strides
Ireland’s all-rounder Orla Prendergast emerged as one of the series’ standout performers. Named Player of the Series, she scored 144 runs and took four wickets, climbing into the top 20 of the batting rankings for the first time. Prendergast moved eight spots to joint-19th with career-best 602 rating points.
In bowling, her three-wicket haul for 28 runs in the series opener earned her a place in the top 50 for the first time. Her all-round performance also propelled her to sixth in the all-rounder rankings, securing personal-best 298 points.
Other Irish players also benefited from the rankings update. Amy Hunter rose one position to 29th among batters, while Laura Delany climbed five places to 50th after scoring 42 runs in the second match, marking her debut inside the top 50 with 448 rating points.
In the bowling department, Ava Canning is now ranked 48th, and Jane Maguire improved her position from 54th to 50th.

Despite the 2-1 series defeat in Dublin, the rankings boost for Fatima Sana and Muneeba Ali is a positive sign for Pakistan cricket.
