The restrictions reflect measures already in place. Turkish port authorities now demand written declarations from shipping agents. These letters confirm that vessels are not connected to Israel. They must also state that no military or hazardous cargo is being carried for Israel.
Reports also noted that Turkish ships are banned from docking at Israeli ports. This shows that Ankara’s sanctions cover both maritime and aviation sectors.
