Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Cadet College Wana shortly after security forces successfully blocked a terrorist attack. His visit aimed to support students, appreciate the forces, and review the operation. Although the incident created intense fear, the swift response protected every cadet and teacher.
Naqvi Praises Forces for Extraordinary Bravery
Naqvi was welcomed by senior military officials who led the rescue effort. He met the officers responsible for stopping the attack. He openly praised their courage and called them “national heroes.” According to him, their actions showed “an exemplary display of courage and expertise.”
He received a detailed briefing on the operation and evacuation. The minister commended the professionalism shown during every stage. Although the threat was severe, the coordinated action ensured the safety of all students and staff.
“These Are Not Just Terrorists, They Are Beasts”
Naqvi strongly condemned the attackers while addressing the incident. He said, “These are not just terrorists, they are beasts with no connection to humanity.”
He added that no religion supports violence against children. He said, “No religion permits the targeting of children, and these animals follow no religion.”
His remarks reflected deep anger over the attempt to attack young cadets.

During his visit, Naqvi also met students and teachers. He praised their courage and high morale after the attack. Although the event was frightening, he acknowledged their strength. He said their resilience represented hope for the country.

Naqvi drew a painful comparison to the Army Public School tragedy. He stated that the attackers attempted to stage a similar atrocity at the cadet college.
He said the decisive action of security forces “sent the terrorists to hell and defeated their conspiracy.”

Naqvi announced that the government would renovate the college soon. He assured students and staff that the institution would be restored. Moreover, he reiterated the government’s firm commitment to defend educational institutions across the region.
