The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has completed the independent valuation of all Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises and commercial assets. This valuation aims to ensure transparency and provide a clear basis for franchise fee adjustments over the next decade.
Renewal Offers Sent to Existing Franchises
Following the valuation, the PCB has issued renewal offer letters to all compliant PSL franchises. These letters outline the new franchise fees applicable for the next 10 years. Franchises are requested to review the offers and respond within the stipulated timeframe.
To facilitate full understanding of the valuations, the PCB has arranged both collective and individual meetings with franchise representatives. These sessions involve the independent valuer and allow franchises to review the methodology, seek clarifications, and address any questions.
New PSL Teams’ Tender Process to Begin
The valuation reports for two potential new PSL franchise teams have also been received. PCB will soon launch the tender process for these teams. Interested investors can select from cities including Hyderabad, Sialkot, Muzaffarabad, Faisalabad, Gilgit, and Rawalpindi.
The tender process ensures that the addition of new teams aligns with the league’s growth objectives. It also provides an opportunity for investors to engage in Pakistan’s most prominent T20 cricket league.
Commitment to Transparency and Growth
The PCB reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, fair dealings, and mutually beneficial partnerships with all PSL stakeholders. The board emphasized that maintaining these values is essential for the league’s long-term success.
By conducting independent valuations and hosting review sessions, the PCB aims to strengthen confidence among current and prospective franchise owners. This process ensures that commercial agreements remain equitable and reflect the true market value of the franchises.
PSL’s Role in Pakistan Cricket
The Pakistan Super League continues to play a pivotal role in promoting cricket both nationally and internationally. The league enhances Pakistan’s global recognition and provides opportunities for players, sponsors, and investors alike.
With franchise renewals and the introduction of new teams, the PSL is set to grow further. This expansion is expected to create new commercial avenues and strengthen Pakistan cricket’s competitive stature worldwide.
