Extortion threats resurfaced in Karachi when gunmen targeted a car showroom on New M.A. Jinnah Road on Tuesday. Authorities confirmed that the attack followed the owners’ refusal to pay an extortion demand of Rs5 million.

According to police reports, an unidentified suspect allegedly called showroom owner Nawab and demanded the payment. The caller warned that non-compliance would result in “serious consequences.” Shortly afterward, gunmen opened fire outside the showroom. A vehicle parked in front of the showroom was damaged, but thankfully, no one was injured.
Police quickly responded to the incident, secured the area, and began collecting evidence. An official investigation has been launched to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
