MoU Signed as Fighter Jet Captures International Interest
The JF-17 Thunder Block-III emerged as a “major focal point” at the Dubai Airshow 2025, drawing significant attention from international delegations. According to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday, a friendly country signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the procurement of the battle-proven fighter aircraft. Several other countries also expressed interest in acquiring the jet, reflecting growing international confidence in Pakistan’s defence and aviation industry.
The biennial Dubai Airshow, taking place at Al Maktoum International Airport from November 17-21, has showcased the capabilities of the JF-17 Block-III, which has proven its combat effectiveness during conflicts with India in 2019 and 2025. The jet’s advanced radar systems, long-range beyond-visual-range missiles, and multi-role capabilities enable it to perform a wide variety of combat missions. The ISPR highlighted its role in striking across the Line of Control and neutralizing enemy air defence systems during recent conflicts.
