The Excise and Taxation Department Islamabad has announced expanded service hours for M-Tag facilities, making access easier and more convenient for residents across the capital. Director Excise and Taxation Bilal Azam confirmed that all ten M-Tag centers will now operate seven days a week, offering extended hours to better accommodate the public.
Under the new schedule, centers will remain open from 9 am to 9 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, aligning weekend hours with weekday timings. This change is designed to support citizens who are unable to visit during regular working days, ensuring they have ample time to complete M-Tag registration and renewal procedures.
All designated centers in Islamabad will now provide full M-Tag services — including new registrations, renewals, and customer assistance — throughout the expanded 12-hour daily window. Officials have also instructed staff to maintain full attendance and ensure smooth, uninterrupted service during these extended hours.
The new timing policy aims to reduce crowding, improve efficiency, and make road travel compliance easier for commuters across the city.
