Fans of the Emmy-winning Apple TV+ comedy Ted Lasso have something to celebrate: the long-awaited fourth season will premiere globally in summer 2026. Alongside the announcement, the streamer released four first-look images teasing what’s next for the lovable football coach played by Jason Sudeikis.
Season 4 sees Ted return to Richmond, facing his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team. While the show has expanded its focus, Ted’s trademark optimism, charm, and biscuit diplomacy are all on display.
In the first-look photos, Ted is joined by Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt) and a new assistant coach, portrayed by Tanya Reynolds, signaling some fresh dynamics in the locker room. Another image introduces Grant Feely as Henry, Ted’s son, following a recast for the role ahead of this season. Ted and Henry are seen together at Mae Green’s Crown & Anchor pub in London, hinting at more family-driven storylines.
The final image shows Ted with Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) in front of the Richmond jet — a possible nod to her traveling to Kansas to recruit him for this new coaching position. True to form, Ted is also seen handing Rebecca a box of his famous homemade biscuits, a small detail that will warm fans’ hearts.
With returning favorites, new faces, and the series’ signature mix of humor and heart, Season 4 promises to continue Ted Lasso’s unique blend of comedy and inspiration while exploring new terrain — both literally and figuratively — in the women’s football world.
