LONDON/ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif agreed to the PDM’s suggestion of holding general elections in Pakistan as per their original schedule.
They also discussed the possibility of changing a change in the Punjab government and put in place again PML-N government.
Both the leaders decided this in a meeting held in London in which former finance minister Ishaq Dar was also present.
According to sources, the premier and Nawaz Sharif talked about different issues concerning Pakistan, including the time of the general elections.

PM Shehbaz reached London on Saturday to attend the state funeral of late Queen Elizabeth II in the English capital on Monday (Sept 19), where he will represent Pakistan.
The meeting between the Sharif brothers lasted for about three-and-a-half hours in which they set aside pressure and agreed that the next general elections in Pakistan should be held at the stipulated time.
Shehbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif also decided that the coalition government will complete its constitutional term.
Meanwhile, PTI Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan has been demanding early elections from the day he had been ousted from the power.
The two leaders deliberated over making changes to the Punjab government during the meeting and to that end, the name of Hamza Shehbaz, among other possible candidates, was considered for the post of the province’s chief minister.
A discussion related to important appointments, including the new army chief in November, was also held during the meeting.
Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif and Minister for Communication and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb were also in London, but they were not seen in Shehbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif’s meeting.
