ISLAMABAD: The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) of security agencies will probe the audio leaks involving Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and three federal ministers.
The government JIT will question the PM Office staff members as part of their investigation of the audio leaks.

The federal government has also called a meeting of the National Security Committee tomorrow to discuss important security developments in the country. It is expected that among discussions on the agenda, the leaks will also become a topic of discussion.

The joint investigation team will also inspect the suspected recordings and determine the medium used to record them or if data of the prime minister house was hacked. The names and head of the JIT will be announced today.
The government has already attempted to brush the audio clips under the carpet, noting that it contained nothing that serves as an indictment of the current government or betrays ill-intent on behalf of certain individuals said to be featured.
So far, three audio have been leaked involving PM Shehbaz Sharif, PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz and three federal ministers.
