ISLAMABAD: The body of anchorperson Arshad Sharif, who was shot dead in Kenya by police on Sunday night, will be buried on Thursday in H-11 graveyard in Islamabad.
His body arrived aboard the flight of a private airline, Qatar Airways QR-632. The flight landed at Islamabad International Airport.
The body was recieved at the cargo section of the airport by members of Sharif’s family, the government, and members of the media.
Dead body of Arshad Sharif was brought to Islamabad early Wednesday morning.
Qatar Airways flight QR-632 transported the body and the flight landed at Islamabad International Airport after 1:00 am on Wednesday.
Family members of Arshad Sharif received the dead body at the cargo section of the Islamabad International Airport. Many representatives of media were also present there.
Some PTI MNAs, former ministers and party members also reached airport to receive the body.
Family of Arshad Sharif will announce the funeral and burial timings today.
Earlier, Prime Minister has ordered a judicial inquiry into the murder of Arshad Sharif.
