Kenyan police have found out a new twist to the mysterious murder of Arshad Sharif, a famous Pakistani TV anchorperson known for his anti-govt and establishment but pro-PTI stance who was shot dead in Nairobi on Sunday. On Wednesday evening, Kenyan police have claimed that the firing was first started from inside the car and Nairobi police officer just retaliated.
Kenyan police also reported on Wednesday that Khurram Ahmed, the host of Arshad Sharif in Kenya, who was driving his own Land-Cruiser and he is the brother of Waqar Ahmed, the owner of firing-range in Nairobi, where the police shot dead Arshad Sharif but spared Khurram Ahmed who was driving the car. The firing range is being used to impart training to concerned people/security officials and as a sport activity as well.
Important Unanswered Question
Where is Khurram Ahmed?
Why the Kenyan police Kenyan is not producing Khurram before media to share the facts about the tragic incident?
Is Khurram Ahmed is one of the facilitators who executed murder of Arshad Sharif?
Why did Kenyan police not target the driver and killed Arshad Sharif who was sitting beside the driver?
Why are Kenyan police officials changing their stances frequently about the incident?

For example, on Monday, a day after murder, Kenyan police said a child was kidnapped in a car and they were looking for that suspected car. In another statement issued at evening the same day, Kenyan police said a car was stolen that was seen in the area and they were looking for that. In first two days the Kenyan police officials forget to tell the media and the world that the firing was started first from inside the car and one of their officers retaliated. However, on the third day of the tragedy, Kenyan police came up with this excuse that the car-rider (Khurram) attacked police deployed at the picket but no body is ready to believe this new narrative of police not even the media persons in Kenya.
That’s why the Kenyan journalists have raised questions about the killing of Pakistani journalist Arshad Sharif and brought new details to light.
Kenya’s leading English newspaper, “The Nation, made an attempt to reconstruct the events leading to murder of Sharif, established that the journalist Arshad and Khurram Ahmed spent Sunday afternoon at Ammodump@Kwenia _ an entertainment complex along with a shooting range. This shooting range is popular among Pakistani gun enthusiasts and located on a feeder road in Kamukuru, 85 kilometres south of Nairobi. Khurram Ahmed is from a family that was hosting Sharif in Westlands, Nairobi, and he has been in Kenya for a while as he has a Kenya Revenue Authority Pin number for taxpayers. The Toyota Land Cruiser that the two were using that day is registered to Mr Khurram Ahmed,” the report read.
The newspaper’s report added: “The two men left Kwenia for Nairobi at about 8pm and when they approached the main road, they were stopped by GSU officers who were responding to reports that a stolen vehicle had been seen in the area.”
The report has exposed contradictory narratives of police that earlier claimed Mr Sharif and his companion Khurram Ahmed defied orders at a checkpoint but later alleged Khurram “shot at” one officer and injured him that prompted police to shoot back. “He was challenged to stop but he defied and opened fire at our officers, which triggered them to respond to the said vehicle as it sped towards the Nairobi direction,” the report said, quoting an unknown police official.
The publication also raised the question of why the police, who had their own vehicle at the roadblock, did not chase the Toyota Land Cruiser after its occupants allegedly shot at them.
The Kenyan journalist Brian Obuya pointed out that the fatal shot that killed Arshad Sharif was fired with very precision through the rear mirror of the car. It means an expert shooter accomplished the task of eliminating Arshad Sharif.
Nine bullets hit the vehicle in which Arshad Sharif was travelling _ four bullets hit on the left and one deflating the right side tyre. The body of the slain journalist was found at Kenya’s Chiromo Mortuary, 78-km from where the police say the shooting happened. This also creates more doubts about the Kenyan police of shooting incident. How the vehicle of Arshad Sharif was driven 78-km away from the crime scene? This also needs to be investigated.
Kenyan journalist also asserted that Pakistan journalist was trailed by a “Pakistani killer squad” as he was investigating a money laundering syndicate involving Pakistani politicians.
Meanwhile, in Pakistan a new twist also surfaced on Wednesday evening when the Ministry of Interior dropped the representatives of the ISI from the 3-member team that was announced to probe the murder of Arshad Sharif.
On Tuesday, the ministry announced three-member team comprising Lt-Col Saad Ahmed of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), FIA director Athar Wahid, and IB deputy director general Omar Shahid Hamid to probe the mysterious murder case.
However, on Wednesday the ministry dropped the name of ISI representative without giving any reason.
“The team will travel to Kenya immediately,” Interior Ministry said and added the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Pakistan’s High Commission in Nairobi, Kenya will assist the team in conducting investigation in Kenya.
