Saudi intelligence has anticipated Iranian attack on the kingdom within 48 hours. Saudi Arabia has shared this critical intelligence report with the US officials.
According to Saudi intelligence reports, Iran could be preparing for an imminent attack on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In a statement issued today, the National Security Council said, “We are concerned about the threat and are in contact through military and intelligence channels with the Saudis.
“We will not hesitate to act in the defense of our interests and partners in the region.”
According to the TRT World, an official who confirmed the intelligence sharing claimed that the threat of an attack was credible and Iran can attack KSA “soon or within 48 hours.”
However, so far, the US embassy or consulate in the region did not issue alerts or guidance to the US nationals in Saudi Arabia or in the Middle East.
Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder, the Pentagon press secretary, also stated that the US military officials were seriously concerned about the threat in the region.”
