ISLAMABAD: Asad Umar, a senior PTI leader said that party chairman Imran Khan suspects involvement of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, and a senior military officer in attempt to assassinate PTI chairman Imran Khan on Thursday afternoon in Wazirabad.
“Khan has said that he had the information beforehand that these people might be involved in the assassination attempt on him,” PTI leader Asad Umar said in a video statement along with Mian Aslam Iqbal.
Quoting Imran Khan, Asad Umar demanded that all three people — the premier, the interior minister, and the senior military officer — should be removed from their offices.

Umar warned that if these officials are not removed from their officers, PTI would hold countrywide protests because Pakistan cannot run in this manner anymore.
“If the demands are not met, then all the party’s workers are awaiting Khan’s call, and when he does give that call, then protests will take place across the country.”
PTI Chairman Imran Khan and Senator Faisal Javed are among eight people who have sustained injuries in a failed assassination attempt on Imran Khan on Thursday when PTI container was targeted by an assailant.
Earlier, Imran Khan had said that he had recorded his video, naming those who may try to kill him. He said that the video will be released if something happens to him.
