ISLAMABAD: PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry said the party has decided to continue its long-march and noted that attempt to assassinate Imran Khan was a well-thought-out conspiracy.
He also said that PTI has expressed its dissatisfaction with the performance of Punjab Police Inspector General and decided to seek his replacement.
Fawad said that these decisions were taken at the PTI meeting chaired by injured Imran Khan in Lahore on Friday afternoon before the address of party chief to the nation.
“There was more than one attackers,” Fawad said in a series of tweets, adding the leadership termed the attack “a prelude to a well-thought-out conspiracy”. He said that the party chairman has named of three government and military officials to be the “masterminds” behind the attack.
He said that the PTI leaders expressed their disappointment at IG Punjab’s performance and demanded his immediate replacement.
PTI chairman Imran Khan is shortly addressing the nation today to share important information with the masses about attack on his life, masterminds of the plot and PTI’s next strategy about long-march and action against those involved in the conspiracy to kill him.
