ISLAMABAD: PTI chairman Imran Khan asked party leaders, fans, and followers to reach Rawalpindi on Nov 26 to join the “Haqeeqi Azadi March.”
The PTI followers gathering in Rawalpindi is scheduled three days ahead of the change of command of army chief at GHQ in Rawalpindi as General Bajwa is retiring on Nov 29.
According to Defence Minister, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will announce the name of new army chief either on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Addressing his party leaders and followers on Saturday, Imran Khan urged his followers to reach in Pindi in large number.
On Saturday, the PTI rallies are expected to gather at Rawat _ entry point for Rawalpindi and Islamabad from GT Road.
Meanwhile, PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi visited the camps in Rawat on Saturday. Amir Dogar, Zain Qureshi, Wasiq Qayyum, Umar Butt, Malika Bukhar, Raja Haseeb Kayani, and Raja Waheed Qasim, accompanied Qureshi.
For six days, the PTI leaders and workers will be waiting at Rawat to move towards Rawalpindi on 26th of Nov.
As preparations began for Saturday’s rally in Rawat, all businesses, including fuel pumps, and Educational institutions in the vicinity of Rawat were also closed.
