ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister and SVP of PML-N Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has strongly condemned the insulting remarks of Suleman Shah, son of PM Shehbaz Sharif.
In a recent tweet, Suleman Shehbaz said that the last three finance ministers were jokers who ran a clown show. He further said that the three jokers have laid minefields!
Hafeez Shaikh, Shaukat Tarin and Miftah Ismail are the last three finance ministers to whom Suleman Shehbaz has declared as jokers.
Suleman Shehbaz defended Ishaq Dar and said that Dar averted default in 1998 after nuclear tests and he was trying his best to overcome humongous challenges. Ishaq Dar is also ‘Samdhee’ _ father-in-law of daughter of Nawaz Sharif.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that he was not sure whether Suleman said this or not but such remarks were condemnable.
Abbasi said that Shehbaz has publicly ridiculed Miftah, who was the first finance minister of his father’s cabinet. Abbasi also said that PM Shehbaz and other PML-N leaders appreciated Miftah Ismail for reviving the stalled IMF programme.
Interestingly, the tweet of Suleman Shehbaz has become a talk of the town in the political circles in the country. So far, Suleman Shehbaz did not show any reaction against his own party’s leaders condemnation for giving the title of joker to Miftah Ismail.
On Thursday, Miftah Ismail also disliked the tweet of Suleman Shehbaz and said that ‘he has good ties with him’.
