Amir of Qatar assures full support to Pakistan
DOHA/ISLAMABAD: Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani assured his full support to Pakistan during meeting with Prime minister Shehbaz Sharif.
On Sunday, Amir of Qatar held a meeting with PM Shehbaz and discussed mutually beneficial issues. He reiterated his resolve to continue Qatar’s cooperation in the development and progress of Pakistan.

PM Shehbaz Sharif is in Doha on a two-day official visit. He is attending the 5th United Nations conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDCs).
The conference, started on March 5 and it will conclude on March 9 in Doha. The UN’s moot will consider steps for accelerating sustainable development in the Least Developed Countries, helping them make progress on the road to prosperity.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would share Pakistan’s perspective regarding the socioeconomic challenges the Least Developed Countries (LDCs) are facing in Asia and Africa.
PM Shehbaz said that he would highlight the challenges in his address to the 5th United Nations Conference on the LDCs on Sunday in Doha, Qatar.
On Sunday, the Prime Minister of Pakistan reached Doha, the capital city of Qatar to attend the UN conference.
The participants of the moot will deliberate upon the steps for pacing up sustainable development in the LDCs.
The Amir of Qatar invited PM Shehbaz to attend the 5th United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDCs).
The Conference will consider steps for accelerating sustainable development in the Least Developed Countries. The aim of the moot is to support the LDCs to make progress on the road to prosperity.

At the Conference, the leaders will mobilize additional international support measures and action in favor of LDCs. They will also agree on a renewed partnership between LDCs and their development partners.
During 2022, in its capacity as Chair of the Group of 77 and China, Pakistan supported the efforts of the LDC Chair.
Pakistan also supported Qatar in securing the adoption of the Doha Programme of Action for the LDCs by consensus. The UN General Assembly also endorsed the programme.
