Police launching crackdown against financiers of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf
ISLAMABAD: On the directive of the government, police, FIA and other law enforcement agencies are launching a crackdown on those who are funding activities of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
Nearly two dozen people have been identified who are extending financial support to the PTI. Police will soon take them into custody to probe the PTI’s funding and attacks on police.

Importantly, in a recent huddle of the PDM parties in the coalition government, it was decided to take a stern action against the PTI leaders and supporters, involved in violence and criminal activities.
Meanwhile, the ruling coalition condemned PTI supporters’ attacks on police personnel and torching of vehicles in Lahore and Islamabad.
Several PTI supporters arrested in Islamabad
Earlier, Islamabad police arrested 316 PTI supporters for their alleged involvement in the violence and attacks on police.
The arrested PTI activists were involved in the provocation, arson, attacks on police, and damaged public and private property.
Islamabad police disclosed this today in a message it shared through its Twitter account.
According to police, with the help of CCTVs and security cameras, police officials are identifying more PTI troublemakers and arresting them.
Several police teams are conducting raids in different areas to arrest more PTI men wanted in arsons and attacks on police.
