Imran Khan fears one more police operation at Zaman Park during Eid holidays
LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: PTI chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan feared another police operation at Zaman Park during Eidul Fitr holidays.
Khan stated this on Monday in the Lahore High Court.
A two-member bench of the court said that the petition of Imran Khan be placed before a larger bench to hear similar cases registered against PTI chairman.
Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh and Justice Farooq Haider sent the case to the chief justice of Lahore High Court.
The counsel of the Punjab government, however, argued that the the plea of Imran Khan was based on fears and it does not seem to be admissible.

Imran Khan further said that the court barred police operation on his residence, but the police carried out an operation the next day.
PTI chairman said that there was a risk of bloodshed.
The government’s lawyer informed the high court the plea says the petitioner should neither be arrested, nor an investigation be conducted against him nor a case be registered against him.
He pointed out that the police’s powers to conduct investigations cannot be obstructed.
Meanwhile, Imran Khan said that “I am requesting you to order the police to stop conducting operations at my residence.”
Khan alleged that the government did not just want to send him to jail, but also want to eliminate him.
Imran Khan’s lawyer, Advocate Salman Safdar told the court that police was the complainant in all the cases against Khan. He said that police officials were being used for political purposes.
“The cases against Imran Khan are being filed only on political grounds,” the lawyer added.
