Foreign Minister Bilawal thanks China for its unconditional support of Pakistan
ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto thanked China for its unconditional support of Pakistan at every forum globally.
FM Bilawal stated this at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad on Saturday during his delegation-level talks with the Foreign Minister of China and other officials.
Bilawal Bhutto felicitated his Chinese counterpart for assuming office as Foreign Minister. He welcomed China’s Foreign Minister on his two-day visit to Pakistan.
“Pakistan has long-standing relations with China. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif attaches great importance to the country’s ties with China,” Bilawal said.
Pakistani foreign minister pointed out that across the political spectrum and divide; Pakistan-China enjoy an absolute unison in their strategic partnership.
Bilawal also said that China has always proved to be a trusted friend of Pakistan. He said that a recent manifestation of this friendship was the prompt Chinese support and assistance in the evacuation of Pakistani nationals from Sudan.
“Friendship with China is the cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy,” he maintained.
Bilawal Bhutto also appreciated China’s firm support for Pakistan’s territorial integrity and national development. He also lauded China’s principled stance on the Kashmir dispute.
He further said that former prime ministers Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif played a vital role in fostering relations between the two countries.
Bilawal Bhutto supported the One-China Policy.
Earlier, China’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Qin Gang reached the Foreign Office in Islamabad this morning to discuss bilateral issues. Qin Gang is on a two-day visit to Pakistan.
