33 May 9 arsonists facing trial in military courts
Earlier, interior minister Rana Sanaullah said that only seven of May 9 attacks would be processed under Army Act.
Rana further said that 33 accused have been transferred to military courts _ 19 in Punjab and 14 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He said that out of 500 cases registered after May 9 violence only seven are being referred to the Military Courts.
He, however, dispelled the impression that all the cases of May 9 attacks will be sent to the Military Courts.

“The remaining cases will be tried by ordinary courts,” he said.
Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah stated this on Friday while addressing a Press conference in Islamabad.
“Various analyses and conspiracies have been spreading … so I thought it best to appear here and state the facts and figures,” Rana Sanaullah said.
He said that following the violent protests across the country on May 9, Police have registered 499 FIRs in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
“Of these 499, 88 were registered under the Anti-Terrorism Act, while 411 were registered under other charges.”
He pointed out that so far police teams have arrested 3,944 suspects in the two provinces _ 2588 in Punjab and 1098 in KP.
