A petition filed
ISLAMABAD: A nephew of Azam Khan today filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court for the recovery of missing Azam Khan. Former principal secretary to former prime minister Imran Khan went missing a few days ago.
Saeed Khan, nephew of Azam Khan filed the petition in the IHC on Tuesday through lawyer Qasim Wadood.
According to the petition, Azam Khan went when he left his home on June 15 at 7 o’clock in the evening.
Saeed Khan urged the IHC to issue orders to the relevant institutions for the recovery of Azam Khan.
The petitioner pointed out that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned Azam Khan as a witness in the Al-Qadir Trust corruption case.
The petition further highlighted that Azam Khan has faced harassment from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in the past.
Azam Khan goes missing
Azam Khan, former principal secretary to the prime minister disappeared in Islamabad. His family members have filed a complaint with the Kohsar Police Station on June 16.
Azam Khan, who worked with Imran Khan when he was prime minister, as principal secretary left home on Thursday evening and did not reach home.

Mobile phone of Azam Khan has also been switched off, according to the complaint filed with the police.
When Imran Khan was the prime minister, Azam Khan was his principal secretary and he was considered a very powerful bureaucrat at that time.
What has happened to Azam Khan it is yet not clear. Police have started an investigation to know the whereabouts of Azam Khan.
Meanwhile, The ex-prime minister shared a First Information Report (FIR) stating, “Azam Khan, who was my Principal Secretary, has gone missing since last evening.”
The PTI chairman and former PM Imran Khan alleged that individuals close to him are being targeted.
