Rally in Karachi
KARACHI/ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehrike Insaf in Karachi demanded permission from the provincial Election Commissioner to hold a rally in Karachi next month.
PTI Karachi President Khurrum Sher Zaman said that a formal letter had been dispatched to the provincial EC. The party requested the provincial EC to issue authorization for holding a rally in Karachi near Millennium Mall on November 12. The Mall is situated on Rashid Minhas Road in Karachi.

The letter emphasized the importance of ensuring equal opportunities for all political parties in election campaigning.
It urged the EC of Sindh that PTI be granted equal treatment to uphold the democratic process, expressing the belief in a fair and level playing field for all parties.
Furthermore, PTI leader Zaman voiced concerns that the caretaker government in Sindh was singling out the PTI.
He called upon the Election Commission of Pakistan to take measures to ensure the seamless execution of the party’s gathering.
Meanwhile,
Islamabad High Court endorsed the government’s decision of holding trial of Imran Khan in Adiala Jail in connection with the cipher case hearing.
The Chief Justice of the IHC Aamir Farooq announced the reserved decision on Monday. Imran Khan’s legal team challenged the notification authorizing the trial of the cipher case in Adiala Jail instead of an open court.
The IHC chief judge said that the trial of Imran Khan in jail is for the security of the PTI chief.
According to the IHC’s decision, Imran Khan has expressed concerns about his security. In this situation, his trial in Adiala Jail in the cipher case is for his protection.
The IHC chief noted that the government’s decision to hold trial in jail was not based on any malice.
IHC’s Chief Justice also said that the court would issue a detailed order to mention reasons for Khan’s trial in jail.
