On Monday, Gaza’s health ministry reported that the Indonesian Hospital was struck by Israeli forces, resulting in at least 12 casualties, including patients, in the northern part of the war-torn Palestinian territory.

Dozens more were injured, and approximately 700 people were trapped inside the besieged medical center. The ministry has reported a death toll of more than 13,000 in Gaza.
Israel did not immediately comment on the incident but continued its air and ground campaign, aiming to destroy Hamas over the October 7 attacks, which it claims killed 1,200 people and resulted in 240 hostages. The ongoing conflict has severely impacted Gaza’s health sector, with the largest hospital, Al-Shifa, being raided, occupied, and evacuated by Israeli troops in recent days.
Hopes rose as 31 premature babies were evacuated from Al-Shifa, with plans to transport them from a Gaza clinic to safety in Egypt through the Rafah crossing. Diplomatic efforts were underway to secure the release of hostages, and Qatar expressed optimism about a potential agreement, though neither Israel nor Hamas confirmed an imminent deal.
The intense conflict has left much of the Gaza Strip in ruins, with Israeli forces alleging that Hamas utilized extensive tunnel networks beneath Al-Shifa for military purposes. However, evidence of a major military headquarters below ground has not been disclosed.
Following an attack on a building in Deir al-Balah south of Gaza City on Sunday, rescuers searched for survivors and bodies amid the debris, using mobile phone lights in the rain. One resident questioned the justification for the attack, emphasizing that only children and women were present in the house, and the lack of equipment to rescue people trapped under the rubble.
