KARACHI/ISLAMABAD: In the early hours of Thursday, a distressing discovery was made in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar area wherein a woman and her three children were found dead in their residence.
Rescue teams promptly transported the bodies to a nearby hospital, initiating a police investigation into the tragic incident.
Reportedly situated in Sher Muhammad Goth of Gulistani-e-Jauhar, the scene revealed four deceased individuals, including a mother and her three children.
The details surrounding their demise remain unclear, though initial indications suggest they might have been victims of a sharp weapon. Clarity on the circumstances awaits the results of the victims’ medical examination.
The deceased individuals identified are 35-year-old Saima, 9-year-old Ashhad, 7-year-old Shahzain, and 2-year-old Ammara.
Notably, the head of the household was absent during this grim occurrence.
A relative disclosed that the children’s father returned home around 2:00 am to discover lifeless bodies of his wife and children.
Initial inquiries suggest a potential involvement of a man in the murders of his wife and three children.
Media reports indicate that the police have commenced an investigation, prompted by a complaint filed by the father-in-law.
The father-in-law shared crucial details, highlighting the accused’s alleged drug addiction and contradictory statements made to the authorities.
The police further revealed the accused’s history of crystal intoxication spanning five years, noting his inconsistent statements following detention.
At the crime scene, authorities have not recovered any murder weapon yet, but a thorough search operation is underway.
